Pre-Production Inspection (PPI)
This phase plays a significant role in the production. It prevents any risk related to the accessibility of resources and materials and potential problems associated with activities’ scheduling and subsequent management. Equotech checks the quality of materials and accessories functional to production to ensure all specifications are considered during the process. The PPI is fulfilled thanks to the combined action on three work areas:
Pre-production Analysis
SOP evaluation and setting according to customer requirements and components check
Packaging Check
Measuring, Drop test, Markings & Labeling check, Artwork check, instruction manuals and contents check etc.
Product Detailed Check
Design check, Labeling check, Components check and testing, Function tests etc.
During Production Inspection (DPI)
Once the products reach a 20%-30% level of completion, Equotech begins in-depth assessments of production, processes, capacities, and goods. The ability to make impactful decisions here is the company’s prerogative, which intends to concretely support its customers from the early stages of the process. The results of the processing are presented daily through detailed online reports. DPI includes the following activities:
Evaluation of the production status during the manufacturing process;
Randomly Inspection of the finished samples on-site;
Evaluation of the packing details and packing material; Check of the production lines and capability;
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)
After reaching 80%-100% of the production quota, with most finished products ready in shipping packaging, the inspectors of Equotech visit the factory and extract some products from the finished goods. They use industry-standard processes to review the product, ensuring it meets agreed-upon specifications comprehensively. This step mainly includes the following aspects:
Qty check
Shipping mark
Package details
Style, colour & material
Safety check
Size measurement if needed
Visual check (workmanship)
Function check
100% QC - 1to1 Inspection
This specific type of Inspection on 100% of the pieces allows to improve the control over production lead times and to intervene on issues before the products leave the factory. 100% QC improves a whole series of parameters and introduces solutions in response to specific faults:
30% reduction in post-production defects and DOA
100% rejection of the pieces with aesthetic defects
